What it keeps for business plans is the part most people actually want — a transcript and a summary. Mumr gives you both for any Telemost call, on your Mac, free, whatever account you joined with. You get a recording, not text. - **Telemost's AI summary** comes with a transcript, but it is a Yandex 360 business feature, started by the organiser by default, processed in Yandex's storage, and delivered by email within 24 hours. - **Mumr** records the call's audio and your mic and transcribes on your Mac — on a personal account, as a guest, in Russian or 24 other languages. No bot joins. - If the organiser has forbidden recording, that is their call. Ask them; don't route around it. ## What Telemost does on its own - **Recording to your computer.** Any participant can record, several at once, unless the organiser forbids it. It works in the Telemost desktop app, Yandex Browser and Google Chrome, not in Firefox, and it stops if the person recording leaves the call or closes Telemost. - **Recording to Yandex Disk.** A feature of the paid Yandex 360 for Business tariffs (Минимальный, Основной, Продвинутый, Корпоративный). The recording is made on Yandex's server, saved to the organiser's Disk, and takes up to 24 hours to process. - **AI summary (ИИ-конспект).** Needs an organisation on one of those tariffs and an account on the organisation's domain, not a personal @yandex.ru address. By default only the organiser and co-organisers can start it. The summary arrives by email with the full transcript attached, within 24 hours; the recording is held in Yandex's storage for 24 hours. - **On a Mac** there is a native Telemost app for macOS 12 or later. Personal calls have no time limit and take up to 40 people. So on a personal account, or as a guest in someone else's organisation, Telemost gives you at most a recording to watch back. ## Transcribing a Telemost call with Mumr 1. **Install Mumr** from the Mac App Store and open it before the call. 2. **Approve two macOS prompts** on first run: the microphone, and screen recording, which is what grants access to system audio. Mumr does not record the screen. 3. **Join the Telemost call** in the app or the browser, as usual. It makes no difference which. 4. **Say that you are recording**, then press Record in Mumr. Both sides of the conversation are captured together. 5. **Press Stop** when the call ends. The transcript is written on your Mac, then the summary. Mumr records the sound of your Mac, not Telemost itself, so your role in the call and the organisation's plan don't matter. Nothing is added to the participant list. ## If the organiser has forbidden recording Telemost lets organisers switch recording off. Mumr can technically still record your Mac's audio, because it never asks Telemost. That is exactly why the decision is yours to make carefully: an organiser who disabled recording has told you what they want. Ask whether notes for your own use are fine. Most people say yes when asked; few forgive finding out afterwards. ## The summary, and what works from Russia - **Quick highlights**, the default, runs on your Mac with no key or account. It lifts the headline and key points from the transcript, so it stays in the meeting's language, though its ranking is tuned for English. - **Apple Intelligence** (macOS 26 or later) does not support Russian. - **Your own AI** — an Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter key, or Claude Code or Codex — writes decisions and action items in any language. Note that Anthropic and OpenAI do not list Russia among their supported countries, so from Russia those options may be out of reach; Quick highlights needs no account at all.
